The opening ceremony of Shandong Week, China Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan and 2025 Dialogue on Shandong Industrial Cooperation and Exchange Conference were grandly held on July 29.

Integrating World Expo and Shandong Dialogue, these events focus on key fields that Shandong and Japan intend to cooperate further and complement each other’s advantages, such as medical healthcare, energy conservation and environmental protection, high-end manufacturing, and agricultural products. Besides, they highly promote government dialogue, industry links and enterprise cooperation in terms of green, low-carbon and high-quality development.

Moreover, “One City One Industry” recommendations were launched to fully reveal the industrial strength of Shandong Province and increasingly appeal to cooperation and exchange. Specifically, this activity included intelligent household electric appliance of Qingdao, intelligent agricultural machinery of Weifang, high-end equipment of Jining, medical apparatus of Weihai,  automobiles and accessories of Rizhao, commercial kitchenware of Linyi, high-end chemical engineering of Binzhou, and wood industry of Heze.

During these events, 110 cooperative projects of Shandong enterprises were released by Japanese local governments, trade agencies and business associations. Meanwhile, over 400 one-to-one dialogues were participated by over 200 Shandong or Japanese enterprises and over 600 people, reaching over 100 intended projects and 10 signed projects. Notably, Japanese business communities credited Shandong Week as the economic and trade exchange activity with the largest scale and the deepest industrial link.
