President Xi Jinping's proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative has won a warm welcome from the international community, especially from countries along the routes.

One of China's key measures in pursuing all-round opening-up in the new era, the initiative serves as an important platform for building a global community of shared future, and providing the world with a solution for common prosperity and development based on Eastern wisdom.

Expounding on the guiding principles, rich content, goals, and methods behind the initiative, Xi has pointed out the direction for further development, and mapped out a bright future for China.

This book contains more than 40 speeches and excerpts on the Belt and Road Initiative delivered by Xi between September 2013 and July 2018.
