Recently, CRRC Sifang Co., Ltd. announced that on July 3, local time in Egypt, the Electric Multiple Units developed by the company drove passengers from the Adley Mansour station in Cairo, Egypt. It marks the trial operation of the 10th of Ramadan city Railway built by Chinese enterprises.

This is the first time that a “Made in China” EMU Train drives into Egypt.

According to reports, the 10th of Ramadan city Railway Project is the first electrified railway in Egypt, with a total length of about 70 kilometers. It is located in the east of Cairo, the capital of Egypt, and is an important link connecting the urban area of Cairo with the new administrative capital, 10th of Ramadan city and the satellite cities along the eastern route. It is also one of the flagship projects of China-Egypt “Belt and Road” cooperation.

After opening to traffic, it will greatly improve the transportation capacity between the Egyptian capital and key new cities.
