On July 11, 2022 “Xinhua-Baltic International Shipping Center Development Index Top 10” was released in Shanghai. Qingdao ranked 15th in terms of comprehensive strength as an international shipping center city in 2022, the same as last year.

In recent years, Qingdao has actively promoted the construction of a world-class port, and further played the role of the port as “a major urban infrastructure, an important public service platform, and a window to the world”.

The total number of shipping routes in Qingdao Port ranks first among northern ports; there are 67 sea-rail combined transport trains and 28 inland ports, and the number of sea-rail combined transport containers has ranked first in the country for seven consecutive years; the international shipping hub competitiveness index ranks in Northeast Asia first.
